Free CPR Classes

There are multiple steps required to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation correctly. Individuals must assess if a blockage is impacting the airway, and then compressions begin to help facilitate proper bloodflow. The individual administering CPR also must ensure oxygen enters the lungs; this requires breath support (mouth-to-mouth).

Learning the proper technique for administering CPR during a medical emergency can save a life. Black Jack Fire Protection District will begin offering free CPR classes and certification to those residing in the District. Classes will be offered for teens and adults. These classes are recommended for teens who provide babysitting services and for all new and expecting parents. Updates about classes and a class schedule will be posted soon.
