Online Business Tools:
Permit Applications, Project Bids, and More
The BJFPD website is a tool for local businesses to find the information and resources they need easily and quickly. Our website lets businesses download permits or apply for permits online, explore open bids for District contracts, and review local ordinances and codes.
Apply for a Permit
Businesses that need to apply for a building permit can complete and submit an application online. This streamlined permit process is simple and paper-free. Businesses that don’t wish to apply online can download a permit application and submit it via mail or in person.
When is a Fire Inspection Required?
In some situations, the District mandates a fire inspection to ensure the safety of an office or business location. During the inspection process, electrical wiring and other details are examined to determine if the building is compliant with local fire codes.
Call for Bids:
Check Available District Projects
When the District seeks work related to outside services, the Board approves a ‘call for bids’ to ensure that the project opportunity is accessible to all businesses and that the bidding process remains transparent. Check the site regularly to learn about District projects open for bidding.
